Adrian Durham shut down over Andy Robertson claim as talkSPORT pundit branded 'an idiot' by ex-SPFL star

TalkSPORT pundit Adrian Durham was shut down by former SPFL star David Weatherston after his Premiership "team of the decade" caused a stir online.

Durham compiled a Scottish top-flight select on Twitter which included a few controversial selections.

Among them was Liverpool's Andy Robertson , who is, of course, now Scotland captain.

Durham included the left-back based on his stint at Dundee United, a choice questioned by ex-Falkirk, Stirling Albion and Queen of the South striker Weatherston.

He began his career at Queens Park ahead of Robertson, seemingly unbeknownst to Durham.

Weatherston pointed out that Robertson, despite now being a Champions League winner, made only 36 appearances in the Premiership before heading to Hull City.

Durham attempted to bite back at the 33-year-old, claiming he had "no idea" who Robertson was at the time.

He said: "Are you saying he was bad for Dundee Utd? Joke. You didn't even watch him did you. Had no idea who he was. Pathetic."

The shock jock broadcaster perhaps didn't account for Weatherston's reply.

He shot back: "Hahaha. Played against him, came through the QP system before him, known him since he was a 17 year old kid. You sir are an idiot"

And all Durham could muster in reply was: "Why pretend he never played in the Prem then? Weird."

His team of the decad was as follows: Allan McGregor, James Tavernier, Virgil Van Dijk, Darren McGregor, Andy Robertson, John McGinn, Steven Davis, James Forrest, Stuart Armstrong, Kris Boyd, Alfredo Morelos.
