Adorable Scots puppy left with swollen face after being stung by a bee

An adorable puppy was left with an extremely swollen muzzle after being stung by a bee.

The five-month-old Labrador was rushed to Tay Valley Veterinary Centre in Perth after her run in with the flying bug last week.

She was given a steroid injection which thankfully helped bring the swelling down and has since fully recovered from her ordeal.

Dog owners are being advised to always seek the advice of their vet if their pooch gets stung by an insect over the coming summer months.

Sharing the adorable before and after shots of little pup, the practise said: “5-month-old Ivy came in to see us last week after being stung by a bee, as you can see, she had quite a reaction!

“Don't worry, she is fine now after having a steroid injection from one of our vets.

“Signs of a reaction from a sting include general weakness, difficulty breathing, and swelling from the sting site.

“If you think your dog or cat has been stung by a bee, always phone your vet for advice.”
