Adele shares doctor's diagnosis after nasty heat issue during Las Vegas residency

Adele has revealed a rather nasty diagnosis from the doctor as she continues to stun concert-goers in Las Vegas.

The Brit superstar, 35, gave a little bit more information to her adoring fans than they were perhaps anticipating after confirming she has "jock itch".

She made the confession mid-performance in a recent gig at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace where she has been performing her residency for the past few months.

The Hello singer explained she opts for Spanx while onstage, but admits the heat inside the arena has led to the issue.

Speaking on a video shared to social media by a fan at her gig, the singer is heard saying: "I sweat a lot, and it doesn’t go anywhere, so I basically am just sitting in my own sweat, so my doctor [diagnosed] me [with] jock itch."

The diagnosis, according to Mayo Clinic, is usually common among athletes and causes "an itchy rash in warm, moist areas of the body" and "often affects the groin and inner thighs".

Adele continued: "Jock itch, that sounds like I’m a big Nuggets fan. It looks like I’m a big athlete, right?"

She went on to confess a doctor had prescribed an ointment for the condition which she needs to "squirt on" herself.

Continuing the conversation, she then admitted: "I don’t know why the f*** I just told you that!"

Her successful residency is set to land her big money once more once the shows are turned into a "mega film deal".

The Londoner has earned around £22.6m ($28m) so far from her 32 show run with £25.8m ($32m) coming in from her upcoming shows in her Weekends With Residency at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace later this year.

That £48m from working 64 nights is eclipsed by the concert film payday, which will be recorded over a couple of days, which started last Friday.

Insiders say that broadcasters worldwide and streaming networks have tabled huge offers for long term rights for her Weekends With Residency film.

After those initial sales, deals will be available for digital downloads, streaming and DVD sales. The Londoner will also keep earning money in sales, long term residuals and sales for many years.
