Adama Traore's Tottenham stance revealed as Fabio Paratici looks to complete £40m transfer

Adama Traore is reportedly pushing for a move to Tottenham before the end of the month, with the north London club interested in the Wolves star.

That's according to 90Min, who say that the 25-year-old is determined to seal a switch to Spurs before the transfer deadline.

Tottenham's initial offer for Traore is said to have been rejected because of the structuring of the deal, with Spurs keen to sign him on an initial season-long loan, but Wolves want that with an obligation to buy next summer.

However, the report claims that this 'is not seen as a major stumbling block and is expected to be resolved'.

Wolves are said to be open to allowing the former Barcelona winger to leave Molineux in the coming days, as long as an appropriate offer heads their way.

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo managed Traore during their Wolves days and saw the Spain international have his best season for the Midlands-based club in 2019/20.

Traore bagged four goals and nine assists in the Premier League, but struggled to reach such heights during the 2020/21 campaign.

The Spaniard has been linked with a return to Barcelona, where he came through the famous La Masia academy, and the winger did leave the door open to one day going back there.

Speaking earlier this summer, Traore said to RAC1, via Marca : "Barcelona is my home. It's the reality. I grew up there since I was 10.

"From here, we will have to manage with my agents and see what role Barcelona wants."

A return to Barcelona has seemingly taken a back seat for Traore at the moment, with the Wolves man said to be keen on making the switch to north London and become part of the Tottenham squad.
