Adam Schefter shoots down silly Stefon Diggs-Redskins speculation

The internet has some silly power at times, especially in the realm of sports.

Sunday, the Washington Redskins came up in trending searches alongside Minnesota Vikings wideout Stefon Diggs.

Apparently, Diggs’ brother posted a photoshopped picture of Stefon wearing a Redskins jersey — and away the speculation ran.

So much so, in fact, ESPN’s Adam Schefter went out and checked sources:

The Redskins would love to have a player like Diggs, of course. He’s 25 and one of the best young receivers in the game and the Redskins have a serious problem at the position.

But it’s going to take quite a bit more than a social media campaign to make a trade happen. The Redskins were rumored to be in on Antonio Brown, but nothing has suggested Diggs is available.
