Adam Peaty refuses to back down from family feud as he shares cryptic New Year statement

Adam Peaty refused to back down from his family feud with a cryptic New Year’s Eve post.

The Olympic swimmer, 31, tied the knot with Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, 25, at Bath Abbey on Saturday.

In a cryptic New Year’s Eve post, Adam said he was grateful for “everything this year” despite falling out with his family members.

In his Instagram post he wrote: “It’s the last day of 2025. Thank you Jesus for everything this year.”

His sister Bethany appeared to be the only member of Adam’s family who attended the wedding amid weeks of public sparring with his family.

Their mother Caroline, father Mark, and brothers Richard and James were reportedly uninvited from the star-studded nuptials.

While several of Adam’s family members criticised his alleged behaviour, Bethany served as one of Holly’s three bridesmaids and also attended her swanky hen do last month.

According to The Sun, the lead-up to the couple’s nuptials was fraught with drama.

Adam reportedly uninvited his mother, Caroline, after a feud erupted over her not being invited to Holly’s hen do. It was later revealed that Adam had told his father, Mark, he could still attend the wedding — but only if he sat at the back of the church. Mark chose not to attend, as did Adam’s brothers James and Richard.

The Sun later reported Adam’s great aunt Janet, 73, and uncle Eddie were sent an automated message to inform them they were no longer on the guest list.

Sources previously claimed Bethany’s decision to take part in the wedding left her mother feeling “betrayed”.

“Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly,” an insider told the Mail.

“This isn't the Bethany we all know, she's changed her appearance and personality to fit in with the Ramsays' celebrity lifestyle.”

Adam and Holly tied the knot at Bath Abbey and treated guests to a lavish reception at the swanky Kin House in Wiltshire afterwards.

Celebrity chef Gordon reportedly made barbed comments about Adam’s parents during his wedding speech.

He gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

In a dig at Adam’s absent parents, he then reportedly said: “Shame you don’t have the same.”
