Adam King's virtual hugs will be shared on millions of letters across the world

People across the world will be able to get Adam King's virtual hugs this Christmas.

The six-year-old, who suffers from brittle bone syndrome, stole the hearts of the nation when he appeared on the Late Late Toy Show at the end of November.

Host Ryan Tubridy was in awe of the adorable youngster, who brought with him his 'virtual hug', which he gives out to people due to the pandemic.

And now An Post have given Adam his very own postmark, so his hugs can be shared with millions of people around the world.

An Post tweeted: "Late Late Toy Show star Adam King will get his own postmark this Christmas.

"Young Adam King stole our hearts when he appeared on RT’s @thelatelateshow Toyshow with his Virtual Hug Now An Post is helping Adam share his virtual hug across the world with a special postmark which will be applied to millions of Christmas post from Dec 12th."

Adam catapulted himself to national (and international) stardom two weeks ago when he shared his dream of becoming a space explorer of some variety.

On the Toy Show, host Ryan Tubridy was blown away by Adam's "beautiful" personality – and he went as far as having him on the Late Late Show the very next week.

There he got a surprise visit from legendary astronaut Chris Hadfield, who delivered words of encouragement and hope to Adam and his family.

Adam met Chris alongside his brothers and sisters, with siblings crowding into the video call for a heartwarming conversation with the famous astronaut.

He asked Chris: "Were you afraid on your first space mission?" – one of a number of amazing questions in a gorgeous conversation between the pair.

"You've got your whole life to get ready," Chris said, in a beautiful reply.
