Ad Astra starring Brad Pitt is now available to stream in the UK

Ad Astra starring Brad Pritt is arriving to UK streaming services for the first time this month.

The science fiction film will be available on NowTV from Friday, July 17.

The drama follows an astronaut who goes into space in search of his lost father, whose experiment threatens the solar system.

The film was released in cinemas in late 2019 and received positive reviews from critics for its visual effects and Pitt's leading performance, and also picked up an Oscar nomination among other awards.

It will mark the first time the film is available to stream as part of a subscription service, following its cinema and home video release.

To watch Ad Astra you can sign up for a free seven-day trial on NowTV here. Once the trial is up you can cancel it for free or continue the subscription for £11.99 per month.

It joins recent big releases Detective Pikachu and IT: Chapter 2 which have recently been added to the NowTV cinema pass.

Since cinemas were forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic a number of big releases were uploaded to streaming services like Amazon Prime and Sky Box Office.

This included films Trolls World Tour, Onward and The Invisible Man which all had their cinema runs cut short.
