Actor Jason Statham sells his Hollywood Hills compound for above its asking price

July 28--Actor Jason Statham continues to blaze a fast and furious trail through the Los Angeles real estate scene, this time selling his Hollywood Hills compound in less than two months for $9.2 million.

The action film star and Victoria's Secret model Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley had listed the place in mid-June for $8.999 million.

Here's the plot synopsis: In April he bought the contemporary showplace of fashion designer Jenni Kayne and her husband, real estate agent Richard Ehrlich, for $12.995 million. Then in May he purchased a dapper Midcentury Modern man cave for $2.7 million in Hollywood Hills West.

The couple restored the half-acre walled compound that just sold with help and updates from New York-based Roman Williams.

The 1929 Mediterranean, once owned by actor Ben Stiller, includes living and family rooms, a den, a library/study, an office, a gym, a breakfast area, six bedrooms and six bathrooms on two stories.

Outdoor spaces include a dining patio with a tile fountain. Steps lead down to an elegant swimming pool.

Statham, 48, has been in the "Fast Furious," "Expendables" and "Transporter" films. The actor stars this year in "Wild Card," "Spy" and "Furious Seven." He'll star next year in "Mechanic: Resurrection." "Furious 8" is in the works.

Huntington-Whiteley, 28, also models for the British fashion house Burberry. She appears in this year's film "Mad Max: Fury Road."

He bought the property in 2011 for $7.325 million, public records show.

Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty was the listing agent. Brett Lawyer of Hilton Hyland, an affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, represented the buyer.
