Could we be about to see a return for a favourite pet detective?
According to We Got This Covered , Ace Ventura 3 is reportedly in the works and there is a possibility that Jim Carrey will reprise his role as the iconic character.
Production company Morgan Creek shared the story from its Twitter account and giving us those eye emojis and hashtagging the potential film, adding fuel to the fire that we will be getting a new movie.
Sadly, it sounds like Jim Carrey isn't that keen to return to the role, however.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls star Tommy Davidson (aka Tiny Warrior) previously told US Weekly : "[Carrey] doesn't want to do it now. But Jim is one of those kind of artists that, you know, he does what he feels, he does what he believes in.
"I asked him about it. I told him, 'Hey man, it'd be nice in Jamaica.' He said, 'No I'm not doing those now'. And you know, that's like going on the field and going, 'Hey, Tom Brady, I think you should throw this over to...' No!"
Perhaps absence has made the heart grow fonder for Carrey?
Regardless, fans of Ace Ventura online have already shared the feelings about the prospect of a third film.
One fan on Twitter wrote: "If @JimCarrey does a 3rd #AceVentura movie, my life will be complete. Seriously. I’d give a kidney to see another movie chock full of Ace faces and Aaaaaaalrighty Thens. Please let the rumors be true."
