UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash has stressed the importance of establishing a strong and effective Arab system to activate the pioneering Arab role in facing all challenges.
Gargash has stated that his country is working on developing relations with rising world powers by building ties with countries pioneering in various fields. He gave the example of improvement of relations with China and India.
The world succeeded in combating terrorism but didn’t root out extremism, he said, adding that the UAE believes the eradication of terror requires a solution to its causes through organizational work that has clear objectives.
During a session on global political changes as part of the UAE Government Annual Meetings, he highlighted that any country’s foreign policy is linked to its internal situation.
“No state can succeed in foreign affairs if it’s internally weak,” he said.
The UAE stands on solid bases and views the future with optimism and confidence. The internal success in the UAE is a result of the social and development model as well as the values the country calls for, he continued.
Gargash pointed out to the state’s achievements and successes.
He stressed the necessity of creativity, saying the UAE has had successful advanced technological experiences, and referring to the leadership’s vision to the post-oil phase.
