Aberdeen ace Funso Ojo charged over 'assault' on Dundee United fan after match

Aberdeen football star Funso Ojo has been charged over an alleged clash with a fan.

The Belgian Dons ace is accused of attacking a Dundee United supporter at Tannadice stadium in Dundee following the clash between the two sides last month.

Cops have now brought charges on the 30-year-old.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with a minor assault which took place inside Tannadice Park, Dundee, around 5pm on Saturday, November, 20.

“He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Ojo had been sent off before half time for a clash with another Tangerines supporter pitchside during the game.

Dons chiefs complained bitterly about the red card decision in the aftermath of the tie.

It is alleged he was then involved in an altercation with another fan around an hour after the game.

A 35-year-old is also due to appear in court in relation to the alleged touchline incident.
