Abandon Ship to open first Glasgow bar in city centre this summer

A brand new bar is coming to Glasgow's city centre this summer.

Abandon Ship will open their latest venue - and first in the city - on Mitchell Street and have told punters-to-be to "keep their eyes peeled over the coming weeks".

The bar already has one popular venue in Dundee, with Abandon Ship first starting as an apparel brand almost a decade ago.

The business, run by Richard Davies and AJ McMenemy, is also behind south side bar The Luchador.

Abandon Ship broke the news that it will be opening soon on social media.

A post on Instagram reads: "It is official. Abandon Ship Glasgow is coming this summer. We will see you all for food, drinks and merch at our new location on Mitchell Street soon!

"We have plenty to announce so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates over the coming weeks.

"Without the support of our customers in Dundee and delivery in Glasgow this wouldn’t be happening. So thank you to everyone and we hope to raise a toast to you all soon!"
