Aaron Taylor-Johnson Reportedly Offered Role Of Next James Bond

Aaron Taylor-Johnson offered the role of James Bond.

Kick-Ass and Bullet Train star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been chosen as the next James Bond, according to sources. The British newspaper The Sun reported that Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of the next 007 following Daniel Craig’s departure from the role in 2021’s No Time to Die, with production aiming to begin later this year.

The studio that makes the Bond movies, Eon Productions, has reportedly offered the role to Taylor-Johnson and is awaiting the actor to sign a contract imminently, with a big announcement planned. Taylor-Johnson, known for roles in various genres including comic book movies, action films, and dramas, has proven himself across a host of genres and has the necessary skills to portray the iconic character of James Bond.

Taylor-Johnson has been a favorite for the role for some time, alongside other actors such as Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Regé-Jean Page. The actor has expressed caution about discussing the rumors too much, emphasizing the importance of staying grounded amidst the speculation.

While awaiting official confirmation about James Bond, Aaron Taylor-Johnson will next star in the Marvel/Sony film Kraven the Hunter. The movie, directed by J. C. Chandor and written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk, will feature Taylor-Johnson in the title role alongside a talented cast including Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, and Christopher Abbott.

Kraven the Hunter is set to be released on August 30, 2024, and will explore the story of Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff's quest to prove himself as the greatest hunter in the world. With Taylor-Johnson's upcoming projects and potential role as James Bond, fans can look forward to seeing the actor in a range of exciting and diverse roles in the near future.
