In the three months since sports shut down amid the global coronavirus pandemic, it’s become abundantly clear that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has gone nowhere close to his razor.
Just in a matter of months, Rodgers has gone from a clean-shaven guy who ranked last in Steven Ruiz’s quarterback aesthetics rankings to … uh … someone who could compete with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the NFL’s most impressive beard.
Rodgers unveiled his beard during Thursday’s broadcast of the Charles Schwab Challenge. To mark the return of PGA Tour golf, Rodgers was tasked with introducing Max Homa. And while Rodgers completely roasted Homa in the intro, it was the beard that stole the show.
I mean, look at this thing:
And, as you can see, he’s made significant progress on the facial hair since April. It just keeps growing.
Sure, fans might mock the beard, but I say that Rodgers has to keep it going for the entirety of 2020 — don’t shave it, please. It might be just the thing needed to make his oddly large football helmet look less dorky.
