Aaron Rodgers reportedly uses a hilarious nickname for Packers GM Brian Gutekunst in group texts

The Aaron Rodgers-Green Bay Packers mess is almost a week old and while we haven’t really heard any serious rumors about the QB’s future with the team, we do now have a pretty hilarious report about a nickname he uses for Packers GM Brian Gutekunst while in group chats with teammates.

Are you ready for this one?

According to a report by The Athletic’s Bob McGinn, Rodgers has been known to call Gutekunst “Jerry Krause” in group texts. The late Krause, of course, was the GM of the legendary Chicago Bulls teams.

Check this out:

According to sources, Rodgers has mocked Gutekunst in group chats with his teammates in Green Bay by referring to the GM as Jerry Krause. The late Krause, the general manager of the Chicago Bulls during their run of six NBA championships, was loathed by Michael Jordan for some personnel moves with which Jordan disagreed.

That’s pretty amazing.

Rodgers wasn’t a big fan of the Packers trading up in last year’s draft to take a QB in the first round, especially when there were a lot of good receivers available. He also didn’t like being surprised by that move.

Now things seem pretty bad between the two sides and the possibility of Rodgers playing for a new team this coming season doesn’t seem like a crazy idea.

But yeah, that Krause nickname is pretty wild.
