Aaron Ramsey's Juventus teammate Daniele Rugani has tested positive for coronavirus, the Italian club has confirmed.
Centre-back Rugani, 25, has contracted COVID-19 but is not showing symptoms, the club says.
A brief statement from Juventus issued on Wednesday evening said: "The footballer, Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.
"Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him."
Just three days ago, Rugani - who has made seven senior appearances this season for the Serie A club - shared an Instagram snap following the side's 2-0 win over Inter Milan of the side celebrating together.
Wales star Ramsey also features in the photograph.
Doubt had already been cast over whether Ramsey would be able to feature in Wales' two friendlies next month - against Austria and the USA - due to Italy's strict lockdown in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.
This latest development will likely further decrease the chances of his involvement in the games.
On Monday, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte ordered people to stay home and seek permission for essential travel as the country extended its emergency measures to the entire country.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths rose in the country on Wednesday by 196 to 827.
There are currently more than 12,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Italy, a figure rising every day.
