MUMBAI: Maharashtra Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday said that state’s doors are always open for Kashmiri Pandits.
“Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has already said that whatever is required will be done for Kashmiri Pandits. Maharashtra’s doors were always open for Kashmiri Pandits. But at the same time the images coming out from Kashmir….the atmosphere there… are not good and not the right picture. Whatever is happening in Kashmir, an atmosphere of fear, we are also worried about this and have expressed concern,” Thackeray said.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday asked if the Prime Minister would promote the sequel of Kashmir Files on the current situation in Kashmir. Raut said that while Kashmiri Pandits were being killed and forced to flee the valley, those who promoted the film Kashmir Files were now keeping mum.
“Kashmiri Pandits are killed and forced to leave the valley. Those who promoted Kashmir Files are mum! Will they now make Kashmir Files-2 on the present situation? Will the PM promote this sequel as well? If history shouldn't be hidden, then shouldn't the present also be accepted,” Raut said in a tweet.
