Child and two adults rushed to hospital following 'serious' two-vehicle crash on A90

A child and two adults have been taken to hospital following a 'serious' crash on the A90.

Police Scotland confirmed the main Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road has been closed since the “serious” accident earlier this evening.

Officers confirmed the incident involved two vehicles near the junction with the A952.

Traffic Scotland tweeted the road near Happyhillock is closed in both directions, from near Lomnay to the B9032 at Rathen

Motorists are being advised to take an alternative route.

Traffic Scotland also gave details of the crash. (Twitter)

A police spokesman said: “Around 5.50pm on Monday, 9 November, 2020, officers received report of a serious road traffic crash involving two vehicles on the A90 at the A952 junction. Officers remain at the scene and the road is closed.

“The drivers of both vehicles, one man and one woman, and a child passenger have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”

“Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is currently closed.”

Fire crews are also currently on-scene making the area safe.

Traffic Scotland also confirmed the road is likely to remain shut for some time.
