A77 closed heading southbound for third night in a row

The main bypass connecting Kilmarnock and Ayr has been closed for the third night in a row.

The A77 has been shut off heading southbound just after Kilmarnock heading towards South Ayrshire.

The road is closed heading south between Symington and the A78 at Monkton, near the Dutch House Roundabout.

It's the third successive night that the road has been closed after devastating floods on Sunday night led to it being totally cut-off.

It was then closed again last night, and this evening marks the third night in a row.

Keep up to date with the status of the closure here.
