A701 Liberton Brae is currently blocked in both directions after crash involving a van and bus

Liberton Brae is currently blocked in both directions due to a crash.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident involving a bus and a van shortly before 8:25am this morning on the busy road between Alnwickhill Road and Kirk Brae.

One man is said to be injured, however it is not thought to be serious.

It is understood that Liberton Brae is blocked in both directions blocked, with slow traffic in the area and long delays expected.

The crash is affecting traffic heading in and out of Edinburgh, with a number of Lothian Buses services being diverted, including: 37 47 67 X37 X47.
