A536 serious collision closes road at Macclesfield

A serious collision has closed the A536 at Macclesfield.

Officers say the road will be shut off for some time.

Cheshire Police wrote on Twitter: "*ROAD CLOSURE* Please be aware that the A536 at Macclesfield is currently closed at Bank Lane and also Marton Lane due to a serious collision.

"Please avoid the area as delays are likely and closures will be in place for some time."
