A Wild Dodge Charger and a Ram 1500 V-8 Are Headed to SEMA

Heritage is the name of the game in 2025 as Stellantis works to right the ship and win back American buyers. After a management shuffle brought back Tim Kuniskis as Ram Trucks CEO, he, in turn, brought back the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 to the 1500 pickups after a one-year absence.

As a result, truck sales are up, with V-8 models flying off lots. With talks brewing of putting the Hemi V-8 back into the new Charger, it’s natural for Stellantis to keep the pedal to the metal while the company has momentum.

That’s why the automaker is preparing to showcase a slew of customized vehicles in conjunction with its in-house performance brand, Mopar. As of this writing, we have only a snippet of two vehicles—but even more performance concepts are expected.

The first preview released in early October focuses on part of a Dodge Charger painted in a new hue of Purple Haze. The color appears to be used on a Charger Scat Pack Sixpack—the gas-powered model, not the EV. Other details reveal a bulging black hood that offers a sharp contrast to the illuminating badge, and rims that are certainly not stock.

The second preview is the 2026 Ram 1500 wearing a just-as-wild paint finish dubbed Sublime Green (wouldn't Sub-Lime work better?). We know it’ll have a V-8 because it wears the brand’s 'Symbol of Protest' badge on the front fender. That front fender also appears to sit perilously closer to the tire, suggesting it’s been lowered.

Could this be the 1500 street truck we’ve been begging for? It’s tough to say. Stellantis is being sneaky with these teasers, since no other details have been revealed except its collaboration with Mopar.

We’ll know more when the exhibition opens its doors in Las Vegas. You can see these two models and many more at the SEMA event at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 4 to 8.
