Hugh Grant has appealed to thieves to return a stolen script he was working on.
The A Very English Scandal actor took to Twitter to ask the people who broke into his car and stole a bag to “at least” bring back the “weeks worth of notes and ideas” that had been taken.
Grant also asked that his children’s medical cards be returned to Coach Films at Ealing Studios, Ealing Green, W5.
“In the unlikely chance that anyone knows who broke into my car tonight and stole my bag, please try and persuade them to at least return my script,” the 58-year-old wrote on social media.
“Many weeks worth of notes and ideas. And perhaps my children’s medical cards. Coach Films, Ealing St Mary’s Ealing Green, W5 5EN.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan police told The Independent they had heard “nothing as yet”.
Grant was last seen on screens playing Jeremy Thrope in the BBC drama A Very English Scandal. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for the role.
The actor was recently cast in the Guy Ritchie crime thriller Toff Guys, alongside Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding and Colin Farrell.
