A Stranger Things-themed ice cream van has been handing out free scoops on Buchanan Street

What could be better than a brand new season of your favourite Netflix show?  How about free ice cream inspired by your favourite show?

Well, that's exactly what the lucky folk on Buchanan Street were treated to today, as a Stranger Things-themed ice cream van rolled into the city centre to hand out free scoops to shoppers.

Named after the 'Scoops Ahoy' ice cream parlour in the TV show and decked out in Stranger Things garb - complete with a terrifying Demogorgon, the folks behind the ice cream van definitely didn't do things by halves.

One thing's for sure - if we weren't excited for the new season of Stranger Things before, we are now.

We'll meet you on the sofa, binge-watching the entire third season (hopefully with an ice cream in hand).
