Filming gets underway next month on a new Star Wars-inspired TV series starring Ewan McGregor.
Reprising his role as Obi Wan Kenobi for the first time in fifteen years, the series will start 10 years after the events of the 2005 film Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
In the film, Kenobi suffered a great defeat at the hands of evil Sith Lord Darth Vader who successfully corrupted his best friend and Jedi apprentice Annakin.
Alongside McGregor, the series will also mark the return of Hayden Christensen in his role as the classic Star Wars villain.
Other members of the cast confirmed on the project are Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, and O’Shea Jackson Jr.
A date on when the series will be ready to view is not yet known, although what we do know for sure is that it will be available exclusively on Disney+.
Subscriptions on Disney+ start from £7.99 a month. 15% discounts are also currently available on annual plans. Find out more here.
The Obi Wan Kenobi series will be directed by Canadian filmmaker Deborah Chow, who previously credits include two episodes of the highly successful series The Mandalorian.
LucasFilm boss Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of producing the series along with Michaell Rejwan, Chow, lead star Ewan McGregor and series writer Joby Harold.
