A spooky drive-in cinema is launching in Bristol this Halloween

A drive-in cinema is launching in Bristol this Halloween for those who want to be given a fright via the big screen.

Taking place at Filton Airfield between Tuesday, October 27 and Sunday, November 1, there will be screenings for all ages including Scream, Monsters Inc., The Blair Witch Project, Get Out and many more.

Passengers can enjoy the films on a huge LED screen, with sound transmitted through "state-of-the-art speakers" given to each car upon arrival.

To ensure safety, a number of measures will be put in place including plenty of space between parked cars so viewers are socially distanced, while entry will see reg plates on vehicles scanned to avoid contact with staff.

Guests can bring their own food and drinks with them to the pop-up cinema to enjoy from the comfort of their seats.

The event is headed up by Adventure Cinema, an events company that has specialised in bringing outdoor cinema experiences to venues across the UK for the past three years.

One of the biggest companies of its kind in the UK, Adventure Cinema hosted more than 120 large scale events in 2019.

Screenings and tickets

Movies being shown include Scream, The Lost Boys, The Shining, Hocus Pocus, The Blair Witch Project, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, The Conjuring, Monsters Inc, Hotel Transylvania, Get Out, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Shaun Of The Dead, Coraline, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Exorcist.

Tickets for Adventure Drive-In are priced at £27.50 + booking fee and are available now on Adventure Drive-In's website.

Ticket-holders will be given 100 per cent money-back guarantee should the event not go ahead.
