Anybody who has flown will know how uncomfortably cramped planes can be, and how the window seat is arguably the most coveted as you can see the amazing view. But often, people will spend more money to ensure that they get the best seats in the house - so if someone asks you to swap, your immediate reaction will likely be no.
But if they gave you a legitimate reason as to why they needed to swap, it may tug on your heart strings, and persuade you to give up your seat. If you found out they were lying, however, you'd likely be super unimpressed.

One man was left seriously seething, however, when they swapped seats with a fellow passenger under false pretenses.
They wrote: "Lies to me about being afraid of flying just to get the window seat and take pictures the whole flight", and they posted a picture to shame the passenger.
In the photo, the unnamed person was also taking a photo of the amazing view, sparking people to become furious.
In the comments, people were not best pleased with what had happened.
One wrote: "My policy: no."
Another said: "Hour poor planning does not constitute an emergency for me."
Someone else shared their thoughts on when they would swap seats, writing: "My general policy is: Yes - they want to change seats for the exact same seats somewhere else (ex. aisle seat for an aisle seat). No for everything else.
"I once had someone sitting in my aisle seat as I was getting to my seat. He asked me if he could sit in my aisle seat to sit next to his wife, while offering me his middle seat two rows behind.
"I was absolutely appalled that someone would even ask this request. I said no, but I said I would give up my aisle seat if anyone else with an aisle seat would give up theirs for the guy's middle seat, and I could have that other person's aisle seat. Everyone around was silent, so I asked him to get out of my aisle seat.
"I just think it's absolutely ridiculous to this day that someone would ask that request."
"Learn to say no!" a Redditor raged.
