A Place in the Sun viewers notice 'red flag' with couple in opening minutes of show

A Place in the Sun viewers have claimed that a couple showed some concerning behaviour from the beginning after describing their dream home.

Couple Tina and Greg appeared on the Channel 4 show in search of a home in western Cyprus. With a budget of £190,000, the pair enlisted property expert Leah Charles-King for help.

The security staff workers have been married for over 40 years, and were looking for a three or four-bedroom home with some outdoor space to call their own. The couple planned to move to sunny Cyprus upon their retirement and were on the hunt for a property with enough space for their extended family to come and stay.

However, fans heard the dreaded word when this couple began to describe their dream home - a dog-friendly space.

Tina and Greg shared that they owned three Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs, sparking concern among viewers, , reports the Liverpool Echo.

The audience claimed that house hunters often allowed their pet preferences to get in the way of their dream home on the show.

Fans flocked to social media to express their exasperation at the couple's pet choices. One Twitter user wrote: "Why are there always dogs?"

Another said: "Oh oh dogs."

However, after looking through many properties, the couple put down a competitive offer which was initially declined but later accepted after some haggling.

Tina, Greg, and their dogs walked away from Cyprus with their dream home and £15,000 to spare.
