A Place In The Sun viewers complain over 'fussy' father-son duo house hunting

A Place In The Sun viewers were left frustrated after 'fussy' father-son duo Michael and Sami left emptyhanded. Michael and Sami were joined by Laura Hamilton in the stunning Costa del Sol area of Spain as she tried her best to find their dream holiday home.

The duo came prepared with a budget of £280,000 and were on the look-out for a three-bedroom property complete with a terrace and a pool. Property expert Laura lined up five stunning properties for the father and son to look at, but viewers couldn't help but complain about their attitude.

Michael admitted he would have preferred a penthouse or apartment close to the sea, but as his son now has a young child they agreed a villa would be better suited for family holidays. While Laura tried her best to wow the pair with her selected properties, neither Michael or Sami were overly impressed.

After arriving at the first property, they said it met their criteria but several walls needed to be knocked down if it was to be classed as a potential. It was later revealed during the episode that Michael was a retired property developer and had visited the area numerous times over the years.

Throughout the episode, Michael admitted that he wasn't a fan of the views, locations, or interior of multiple properties and told Laura several times he wasn't keen. While Laura was disappointed her choices fell flat, she appreciated their honesty.

Unsurprisingly when the trio regrouped at the end of the episode, Michael and Sami decided against putting an offer in and left Spain empty-handed.

A Place In The Sun fans soon took to Twitter as the programme aired to vent their frustrations about the 'fussy' family who were 'unrealistic' about their budget.

One viewer said: "What do they expect for 280k in Malaga?!" Another added: "So far, he just wants to knock everything down."

While a third viewer said: "Bigger, brighter, larger pool All on the same budget Perleeeeez!" A final added: "Could you imagine if Jasmine was dealing with these two."

A Place in the Sun airs on Channel 4 every weekday from 3pm.
