A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas forced to apologise to guests after property search

A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas was left apologising to potential buyers after they were unable to choose a house from her suggestions.

The former I'm A Celebrity campmate met buyers Don and Margaret in Portugal's western Algarve as they hoped to find their dream holiday home with Scarlette's help. The couple came prepared with a budget of £300,000 as they hoped to find a stunning property in a nearby town.

Scarlette selected five of her favourite homes in the hope of impressing Don and Margaret, but following her excellent selection the couple were unable to choose a favourite property.

The couple were impressed with Scarlette's suggestions and the viewings kept getting better and better as they refused to rule out any of the homes. After an extremely successful round of viewings, the most difficult part came when Scarlette asked them to make a decision and put an offer in.

As the trio regrouped at the end of the episode to put a bid on one of the properties, Don and Margaret were unable to choose despite Scarlette's impressive line-up.

Scarlette was left apologising to the couple as they were unable to choose their top pick, as Don and Margaret agreed they needed more time to think through their options.

She said: "I would love to know which one you decided to choose. Keep me posted on what happens, I'd love to know which one you go for.

"I do wish you both the very best of luck and I'm so happy I managed to find you two properties. I am so sorry I gave you that dilemma and hopefully one of them will be your dream holiday home."

A Place in the Sun airs on Channel 4 every weekday from 3pm.
