A new Samsung Experience shop is opening in Bristol's Cabot Circus in 2020

Cabot Circus has lost some fantastic shops this year, but a new addition has already been confirmed for 2020.

The new Samsung Experience store will be of particular interest to gadget enthusiasts and shoppers keen to be the first to try out the newest technologies.

Hammerson, the owners of the city centre shopping centre, have today announced that the new shop is set to open in spring.

The new 5,000 sq ft unit will bring the brand’s latest mobile technologies to life and "showcase how multiple Samsung devices and services come together to deliver a complete and harmonised experience," to make consumers' lives "easier, more convenient and more efficient".

The final design of the unit is to be confirmed but it is expected to include a number of Samsung’s unique curated experiences, such as virtual reality.

Although there have been some notable closures this year, Cabot Circus has also welcomed a number of high profile brands including Tortilla and Typo.

It has also announced that D&D London is to launch a new 13,000 sq ft restaurant and events venue within the Quakers Friars Piazza.

The new location will be D&D’s first site in the South West.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said: "Samsung leads the pack when it comes to delivering a unique and memorable in-store experience that enables consumers to really immerse themselves in its products.

"Across our portfolio, we’re constantly looking to introduce brands that deliver something fresh and new, and Samsung does all that and more.

"The new store is sure to be a footfall driver, and will really complement the broader technology offer at the destination. It is a real vote of confidence in Cabot Circus that a leading brand like Samsung has chosen to open in this destination."

Director of Samsung Experience stores, Andy Webb, said Samsung will be "bringing our newest product line-ups, as well as offering visitors unique Galaxy workshops and unrivalled tech support so they can learn and explore our industry-leading devices all in one space".
