A.J. Green out of Monday’s practice after getting hamstring looked at by trainers

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green appeared to suffer a minor injury during training camp practice Monday.

On the first day of practice open to media, the team seemingly shut Green down after he had a hamstring looked at by trainers.

The Athletic’s Jay Morrison provided the details:

“A.J. Green not in for this set of 11s. Was getting left hamstring looked at and stretched after last set of 7 on 7. He’s still on field. No ice. But appears done for the day.”

This is obviously frightening for Bengals fans after Green suffered what ended up being a season-ending injury on the first day of camp a year ago.

In reality, Green cramping or tweaking a leg and getting shut down for the day isn’t a major concern given the unorthodox nature of the summer as a whole and the fact he was completely out of football last year.

While this is something to monitor, it’s not a major concern as of this writing.
