A Cardiff Remembrance Garden is opening in the grounds of the castle

To commemorate Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day on Thursday, November 11 there will be a Cardiff Field of Remembrance at Cardiff Castle.

Remembering all those who lost their lives for their country during World War One , World War Two , and other conflicts, the field will be a place people can come to remember and pay their respects.

Rows of crosses with the names of those who have died, in some cases written by family members, will adorn the castle grounds in front of the castle.

The field will open within the grounds of Cardiff Castle from Wednesday, November 3 until Thursday, November 18 , and is free to enter and visit.

Opening to the public on Wednesday, November 3 there will be a service starting at 10:30am.

The opening service is also free to attend but you will need to book your place as they are limiting numbers and you will need to wear a face mask during the service.

Organised by the Royal British Legion, the opening times are 9am to 4pm.
