‘A capo regime’: Chris Christie shreds Donald Trump to pieces as he exposes the corrupt nature of the US Justice Department

Despite his allegiances to the Republican Party, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been outspoken in his criticism of Donald Trump and his administration during his second term as President. Over the past five years, he has made it clear that he does not support the orange dictator by calling out his missteps and advocating for a restructuring of the GOP without Trump’s leadership, but unfortunately, to no avail.

This time, Chris Christie is speaking in support of Donald Trump’s removal, citing the mishandling of the United States Justice Department, which has been reduced to a puppet in his hand. Speaking to ABC News following the indictment of New York Attorney General Letitia James on fraud charges, Christie boldly claimed that the incident was a result of a close co-operation between President Trump and the Justice Department, noting that the latter was “told” to “prosecute” her. He also mentioned that the “professionals” in the department refused to be party to James’ lawsuit, which led Trump to seek the help of people who would just follow his “instructions.”

While noting the disintegration of the Justice Department under President Trump, Christie also declared:

“This is no longer the Department of Justice. This is no longer the premier prosecuting office in America. What it is now is a capo regime who goes out and executes hits when directed by the Don to do so. That’s what it is.”

Chris Christie’s clip from ABC News was widely circulated on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), where people had a lot to say. While there were more people than you would expect who showed their unrelenting support for President Trump, there were a few who had critical thinking skills and openly supported Christie’s comments. Some even referred to the President as a “mafia” figure issuing orders to various governmental bodies, while others held him accountable for what they believed was America’s decline.
