A burger restaurant with an intriguing religious twist is opening in Bolton.
The Confessional, which us part of the Burger Trading Group, will be open for takeaways from Thursday (April 29).
Its menu includes offerings such as the 'Apocalypse Burger' and the 'Damnation Burger' - in keeping with the church-inspired restaurant name.
The theme also extends to the restaurant's tagline, which is 'join the congregation'.
More than 20 jobs are expected to be created at the restaurant, which will be based at the old ASK Italian site, at Middlebrook Retail Park.
Marketing director for The Burger Trading Group, Gavin Obee, said "We’re thrilled to be opening another Confessional Restaurant at Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park - a new, modern development which fits well with our expanding new brand.
"We think that our offer of high-quality food at affordable prices will be a great addition with an extra dimension to the dining experience at Middlebrook and the wider Bolton community.
"The provenance of our meat is fully traceable and everything on the menu is great quality."
The burgers all use Aberdeen Angus beef and other menu choices include loaded fries, hot dogs, and vegetarian options.
All of the items on the menu are priced at under £10, with the exception of a sharing platter.
Robert Hallworth, manager of Middlebrook Retail Park, added: "We are delighted to welcome The Confessional to our line up, they have a varied and great value menu which compliments the other restaurants on site and further strengthens our restaurant offer."
Customers will be allowed to eat-in at the restaurant once the next set of restrictions are removed, on May 17.
For the time being, The Confessional will offer takeaway and delivery, through Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
