BHOPAL: A total of nine new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday as per the state health bulletin. With these new cases, tally of positive cases reported so far in the state has reached 7,92,556.
There were a total of 117 active cases in the state as on Sunday. This has also increased as there were only 83 active cases on September 1.
New cases were reported in single digits from all the districts of the state. No new case was reported from 48 districts of the state.
Maximum cases were reported from Shivpuri and Bhopal districts as three new patients were found in each of them.
Indore, a predominantly urban district reported two new cases of Covid-19 infection on Sunday, when other districts didn't report any from two divisions in Malwa Nimar region except Indore. One new case was reported from Ratlam district.
The positivity rate — the number of people testing positive out every 100 samples tested — stood at 0.01%.
As many as 54,533 samples were tested and of it nine were found positive. Thus on an average one person, out of every around 6,000 who were tested, was found to be positive. A total of nine people recovered from the disease on Sunday. With these people recovering, the number of people who have recovered so far from the disease in the state has reached 7,81,918.
Apart from it, no deaths were reported in the state on Sunday and the death toll due to Covid-19 remained 10,522.
