CHANDIGARH: Haryana accounted for 41 of the region’s 70 new cases of Covid-19 reported on Wednesday, while Punjab added 11 cases and Himachal Pradesh 18. There was no death due to the virus.
In Punjab, the day’s 27,103 vaccinations included 5,001 first doses and 27,103 second shots. The state’s tally of 7,59,105 includes 7,41,238 recoveries, 17,741 deaths, and 126 active cases.
Haryana reported 67 recoveries along with no new case in 16 out of 22 districts. The state’s overall Covid tally of 9,85,162 includes 9,74,233 recoveries, 10,616 deaths, and 290 active cases.
Himachal reported 18 recoveries. Its overall tally of 2,84,522 includes 164 active cases, 2,80,225 recoveries, and 4,114 deaths. Kangra district reported five new cases during the day.
