Dozens of Rohingya people were found stranded on a beach on Koh Rawee in Satun province on Tuesday morning.
Security officials reported while on patrol at 7am, they found 64 Rohingya people — 28 men, 31 women and five children — and their facilitators — one Thai and five Myanmar people — on a beach near Tarutao National Park.
They told authorities they ran out of fuel and food. After inspecting the boat, the officials found it was damaged.
They were brought ashore at La Ngu district, Satun province at 3pm.
