598 positive coronavirus tests across Nottinghamshire in last 24 hours

A further 598 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The latest figures for Nottinghamshire were published by the Government at 4pm on Saturday, January 23.

Saturday's figures are down from the previous day when 781 cases were recorded.

The figures are published for the city of Nottingham, as well as each borough and district within the county.

The largest increase was recorded in Nottingham, where there has been a further 226 positive test in the last 24 hours - taking the total number of cases recorded in the city since the start of the pandemic last year to 24,861.

Outside of the city, the largest daily increase was in Mansfield where a new mass vaccination centre will open on Monday.

Across the county, not including Nottingham city, a total of 42,034 cases have been recorded since the start of the panedmic.

Here is the latest area-by-area breakdown for the past 24 hours:

Ashfield - 7,175 (increase of 64)

Bassetlaw - 6,080 (increase of 46)

Broxtowe - 5,565 (increase of 49)

Gedling - 6,355 (increase of 38)

Mansfield - 5,992 (increase of 67)

Newark and Sherwood - 5,412 (increase of 57)

Nottingham - 24,861 (increase of 226)

Rushcliffe - 5455 (increase of 51)
