Liverpool Sound City returned this weekend after a year away due to the pandemic.
The weather may not have been great, but it didn’t stop people from enjoying the live music at venues across the city centre, including Grand Central, Jimmy’s, Leaf and Arts Club.
Tonight, Red Rum Club take to the stage for a huge set at Grand Central Hall on Renshaw Street. Jamie Webster will also perform and there’s sets by The Murder Capital, The Mysterines, Lanterns On The Lake.
Sound City continues tomorrow with performances by Reggie Snow, The Lathums and many more.

Sound City has always been a great place to discover new music, and there have been plenty of performances by artists who have gone on to achieve great success, including Ed Sheeran, Florence and The Machine, Stormzy, Paloma Faith, The 1975 and Years & Years.
Today, people braved the cold and wet weather, and dressed up anyway to enjoy the festival. ECHO photographer Andy Teebay headed down to Grand Central Hall where people began arriving late in the afternoon, eagerly awaiting Red Rum Club’s performance.
There was plenty of festival style on show, with people seen teaming jeans and ankle boots with bright pops of colour and statement coats to stay warm.
