PATNA: More than 42,000 selected candidates for elementary teacher’s post would start getting their appointment letters from February 23, education minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said on Tuesday.
On the verification of at least their teacher eligibility test certificates, They would be receiving appointment letters by their respective recruitment authorities, who selected them in response to 2019-20 the advertisement.
Choudhary pointed out that all these teachers have been selected after three rounds of counselling. Those whose all the certificates have been verified would be paid their salaries immediately, but others would start getting the payments only after their certificates were completely verified, he said.
The certificates of selected candidates who have passed their teachers’ training examination from institutions outside the state would be verified in a time-bound manner by designating a state-level official soon. During the verification of certificates, it was found that the TET certificates submitted by as many as 562 candidates were forged. The district administration has already initiated legal action against them, the minister said.
He said after the appointments, the final merit list, selection list and all the relevant certificates of teachers would be uploaded district wise and recruitment unit wise on the department’s web portal.
The department had received total vacancies of 90,672 teachers for appointment in the sixth phase.
