Every year during training camp and the preseason for the Arizona Cardinals, there are undrafted rookies who stand out and get the attention of coaches and fans. Because the Cardinals drafted 12 players this offseason, there are fewer undrafted rookies with opportunities.
However, based on the positions they play, a few have a chance to make an impression.
Here are the guys most likely to stand out.
CB Nate Brooks

The last one or two spots on the roster at cornerback are up for grabs. Brooks, who has prototypical length and size, could be in the mix. He picked off six passes at North Texas last year and was a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award, given to the nation’s top defensive back. He does not have ideal speed but battling a group that includes Brandon Williams, Deatrick Nichols and Chris Jones, he is worth paying attention to.
DL Miles Brown

Brown, out of Wofford, has a chance because the depth on the defensive line is unproven. After the starters and Zach Allen, the other spots are wide open.
WB Dontae Strickland

The running back room is wide open as well after David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. He caught a lot of passes in college, which might make him a nice fit in the Cardinals’ new offense.
RB Wes Hills

Hills is on this list because of the position and because of the production last season. He played at Slippery Rock for his final year of school and rushed for over 1,700 yards. He is built a lot like David Johnson in terms of length and size. Keep an eye on him, especially once the preseason starts.
