The Indianapolis Colts are on the field for the final week of organized team activities and held the final open practice on Tuesday until minicamp begins next week.
The Colts have just a few more days worth of practice until the team breaks for summer. With the final practice open to the media wrapping up Tuesday, there were a few takeaways from the session both on and off the field.
Here are four takeaways from Colts OTA practice No. 8:

Andrew Luck officially misses all of OTAs
As it has been the past two weeks, the Colts will re-evaluate Luck ahead of minicamp to see if he can return to the field for the first time since the spring workouts began in a team fashion. A calf strain has been keeping the 29-year-old off the field.
While this calf strain does appear to be keeping Luck out longer than expected, the Colts are being extremely cautious with their franchise quarterback, and head coach Frank Reich is completely comfortable if Luck winds up not taking any snaps before training camp.
“He could be out there. But you’ve gotta take these things serious,” Reich told reporters Tuesday. “I’m hoping he’s going to be out there next week. … If this plays out that we don’t take a snap (during the offseason program), it’s OK. It’s not a big-news story as far as what we’re doing as a team and what we’re doing offensively.”

Javon Patterson suffers a torn ACL
The first major injury of the offseason hit the Colts on Tuesday as the rookie seventh-round pick in Patterson suffered a torn ACL and will miss his entire first season.
Patterson figured to be competing for a roster spot on the interior offensive line both at center and at the guard positions. The Ole Miss product will spend the next months rehabbing and getting ready for his second season now.

Rigoberto Sanchez gets an extension
The Colts rewarded the successor to Pat McAfee with a reported four-year extension on Tuesday. Sanchez arrived with the Colts in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and immediately won the job over Jeff Locke that preseason.
The Hawaii product has been a strong asset to the special teams unit. He’s recorded 53 punts inside the 20-yard-line over the past two seasons with only eight of his punts going in the end zone for touchbacks.
The 24-year-old deservedly got a nice extension and will now be under contract through the 2023 season.

Jacoby Brissett had a more accurate day
The quarterback room has been relatively shaky on the days that the media has been allowed to watch practice, which includes Brissett. However, he showed a more accurate game on Tuesday.
Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan said that while Brissett did throw an interception to cornerback Nate Hairston, it was a solid day for the 25-year-old.
“Compared to last Wednesday’s open OTA session, Jacoby Brissett was more accurate on Tuesday. Although things were quiet in the target/reception department for Devin Funchess.”
