4 people fatally shot in Chicago home identified

CHICAGO _ The medical examiner has now identified all four people shot to death in a Chicago home the over the weekend, apparently during a robbery.

The victims are Nateyah Yafah Hines, 19, Elijah Jackson, 36, Shacora Jackson, 40, and Scott Travis Thompson, 45.

Everyone except Thompson lived in the Fernwood neighborhood house on the Far South Side where the attack occurred, in the 100 block of West 105th Street. Thompson lived in the 100 block of Kempton Drive in Romeoville, according to the medical examiner's office.

The four were found dead around 12:40 p.m. local time Saturday. Three of the victims were shot in the head, and the fourth suffered multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner's office determined Sunday following autopsies.

A fifth person, an 18-year-old woman, was seriously wounded and remained hospitalized Monday, according to police.

The five were shot by two robbers who forced their way into the home, police said. One of the robbers had bought marijuana from someone in the home earlier in the day, then returned with a second man to steal whatever money and drugs they could find, police said.
