A 36-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside a luxury apartment building in New York City's Queens borough on Saturday, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call shortly before 1 pm at the Hayden Apartments on Hunter Street in Long Island City, where they found the man unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds inside an apartment.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim has not been publicly identified pending notification of his family. Police also have not said whether he lived in the building.
The New York Police Department is investigating the killing as a homicide. No arrests had been made and no suspects were in custody as of Saturday night.
The Hayden is a 51-storey luxury rental tower in the Court Square neighbourhood of Long Island City. The building features amenities including a 24-hour attended lobby, rooftop facilities, a basketball court and a gym, with two-bedroom apartments listed for rents exceeding $6,000 a month.
The fatal stabbing comes days after another high-profile knife attack in New York City. On Friday, prosecutors charged 51-year-old Raul Morales with multiple hate crime counts after he allegedly stabbed an Asian man and a Jewish man in separate attacks on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Both victims survived, and Morales was ordered held without bail following his arraignment.
