35-year-old man found dead in Swansea city centre flat

A 35-year-old man has died suddenly in a Swansea city centre property.

The man was found in a Strand Mews flat on Monday, October 14, at 4.56pm.

An ambulance crew was the first at the scene, responding to reports of a "medical emergency" with two rapid response vehicles.

South Wales Police arrived at 5.05pm and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service two minutes earlier.

A spokesman for the fire service said a gas cannister was involved and they were called to ensure the safety of the scene.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service to the sudden death of a man in a property in Strand Mews, yesterday at 5.05pm.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and is being referred to the HM Coroner."

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday at approximately 16:56 to reports of a medical emergency on the Strand, Swansea.

"We responded with two rapid response vehicles.”
