PATNA: Around 34,000 Class X students write their English paper at 61 exam centres in Patna while 1.05 lakh kids appeared for their board exams across the state at 800 centres conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday.
Beaming with joy, most of the Class X students termed their English paper ‘easy’ and some also claimed that they were able to complete their paper before time. The exam was of two-hour duration, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and extra 15 minutes were given to read question paper.
Notre Dame Academy’s Class X student Anugraha Maria Jacob felt the overall paper easy since she had written two pre-boards at her school. “The section-I was literature part and all the questions were to the point and clear. The paper was not lengthy and two hours were enough to complete it,” she said.
According to Mehul Agarwal, a student of St Karen’s Secondary School, he had finished his paper almost 15 minutes before the exam concluded. “I have utilized this time to revise the paper just to see whether I have answered all the questions correctly,” Mehul said.
Loyola High School’s Saurav Kumar was very nervous before the exam but after getting the question paper he got relaxed. “The language part was very simple and most of the questions in literature are from the sample papers that I solved during the exam preparation. I do not find it difficult to write lengthy answers as I have practised a lot during the revision,” he said.
