CHANDIGARH/SHIMLA: Haryana and Punjab reported 239 and 97 fresh cases of Covid-19, respectively, on Friday, while Himachal Pradesh recorded 67 new cases and 163 of recoveries in the last 24 hours. Apart from the fresh cases, two patients have died in Haryana, and one has succumbed in Punjab too.
In Haryana, Gurgaon reported the highest 115 cases, followed by Faridabad with 21 cases. One death each was reported from Kurukshetra and Mahendergarh districts. Panipat and Jind did not report any new case. Another 14 districts reported 10 or less cases during the day.
In Punjab’s Jalandhar, 18 persons were tested positive, while 17 were reported positive in Mohali, 11 in Bathinda, and seven each in Amritsar and Kapurthala. As many as 61,323 beneficiaries in different categories were jabbed of which 19,394 received their first dose and 41,929 received the second dose. On the other hand, Himachal reported 67 fresh cases — 12 in Kangra district, 12 in Chamba, eight each in Shimla and Hamirpur, four each in Kullu, Mandi and Solan, three in Bilaspur, two in Sirmaur and one in Una.
