Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines has announced today he will be leaving the club for a second time.
The 33-year-old midfielder has had two spells with club after the Bristolian made his debut for the Gas as a teenager on January, 21, 2006, coming on in the final few minutes in a 2–1 win over Chester City at the Memorial Stadium.
In his first spell for the Gas Lines scored scored 21 goals in 158 league appearances joining Sheffield Wednesday for a fee of £50,000 in August 2011.
In a two year stay at Hillsborough he scored three goals in 47 league games for the Owls, and also spent time on loan with MK Dons, where he made 16 league appearances between January and April 2013.
In July 2013 he moved to Port Vale where he scored three goals in 61 league appearances.
Lines returned to Rovers on loan in March 15, playing 11 games to help Rovers win promotion back to League Two via the Conference play-off final.
That summer he returned to the Pirates full time, signing for manager Darrell Clarke.

In his second spell with the club he played 118 league games as Rovers were promoted into League One, scoring nine goals.
Lines' final appearance for the club came on Saturday as he came off the bench in Rovers' 2-1 win over Barnsley. It was his 500th senior appearance.
